What Does A Priest Do In The Bible?

A priest in the Bible is someone who serves in the temple. In the Old Testament, when the tabernacle and, later on, the physical temple was still in existence, priests were seen serving in the temple and offering sacrifices to God.

In the New Testament, the temple of God is the Church of God, the people themselves redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in Him.

Every single Christian is said to be a priest. He or she is to serve the Church of God, the people of God, with their spiritual gifts, offer Him the sacrifice of praise, thanksgiving, good works and present themselves to God in service to Him.
