How Do I Seek The Kingdom Of God?

Mt 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The Lord Jesus instructed His disciples here to seek first the kingdom of God. Question is---how do we do it? How do we seek the kingdom of God?

During this time, the Lord Jesus came to Israel to present the promised kingdom of God to the nation. He stood there, the king of the kingdom, and called upon them to come to Him.

The kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven is for people who have the right heart condition:

Mt 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mt 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mt 5:19 "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mt 5:20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven

To seek the kingdom of God then is to try to obtain it by fulfilling the conditions set forth in the Sermon on the Mount. Anyone who does it is seeking the kingdom of God. He wants to be a part of the kingdom of God and so he obeys the conditions set forth by the Lord in His sermon here in Matthew 5 to 7.

It is organizing one's life according to the values and principles of the coming kingdom.
