A parable is an earthly story with a spiritual meaning. It is something put beside another to make a comparison. It is actually a story that functions first as a picture, secondly, as a mirror and then a window.
A parable is a word picture. As you think it through, you see yourself in it. And then you learn a whole new perspective on spiritual and heavenly things.
A good teacher is one who can teach a truth through a story.
