* I believe that a sinner is saved by grace through faith and not by works. That salvation is a gift and therefore it can never be earned. It is impossible to earn something that is given and offered for free. However, true salvation will always result in good works. Good works are the result and the fruit of salvation, not its cause.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
* I believe that the one being God exists in three distinct blessed persons---Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That each person of the Godhead is co-equal in power and glory, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature possessing the same attributes and perfections.
De 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
Mt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
2Co 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
* I believe that the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, in the original autographs, is the inspired Word of God and that it is therefore inerrant, infallible, authoritative and the final authority in what a Christian should believe in and practice in the Christian life.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
