Some claim that it is only through scientific experimentation that one can know and ascertain the truth of a matter. They would say: "Prove it scientifically!"
Well, how can you prove through scientific experimentation that Abraham Lincoln did exists? How can you prove through science that you were born on such and such a date? How can you prove love, honesty and integrity through science?
The answer to these questions is this---"No. You can't prove these things through scientific lab experiments."
Scientific experimentation is not the only way to ascertain and verify the truth of a matter. A lot of times in our daily lives we don't go by the scientific method in discovering facts. Science has limits. Science only applies to repeatable events. It can't turn back the hands of time and do a test on historical events.
If scientific experimentation is the only way to obtain facts then all the courts of law in the world should be closed down, because a lot of times there truth is ascertained through credible eye witness testimony.
How do we know that Abe Lincoln did really exists? How do you know that you were born on such and such a date? Through the credible testimony of other people. You know your birthday falls on such a date because your parents told you so. You believe their testimony.
It is exactly the same way with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Credible eye witnesses came forward and wrote down their testimonies that the Lord Jesus did really rise from the grave.
They never became rich or powerful because of their testimonies. On the contrary, they were persecuted, harassed and even murdered. They sealed their testimony with their blood. A man may live for a lie but no one dies for what he knows to be a lie.
The apostle Paul was a persecutor of Christianity, then suddenly, a change went over him and became the greatest apostle of Christianity. He left position, prestige and power in exchange for persecution, suffering, pain and even death. Why? Because he really witnessed the fact that Christ resurrected from the grave.
What's The Evidence That Jesus Really Resurrected From The Dead? We have credible eye witnesses (the apostles) who were willing to die and in fact did die for their testimonies that Christ really resurrected from the grave.
